FOUR PEOPLE INJURED, INCLUDING TWO CHILDREN AT THIS HOUR, POLICE ARE STILL SEARCHING FOR SHOOTERS WHO RAN FROM THE BP GAS STATION AT 60TH AND OKLAHOMA RIGHT AROUND 230. THE SURVEILLANCE VIDEO FROM NEARBY THIS GAS STATION SHOWS THE FRIGHTENING MOMENTS, RIGHT BEFORE THE SHOOTING BROKE OUT HERE THIS AFTERNOON. 226 WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON, AN APARTMENT SECURITY CAMERA JUST NORTH OF 60TH AND OKLAHOMA CAPTURES THREE PEOPLE WALKING SOUTH TOWARD THE BP GAS STATION, ONE OF THEM CARRYING WHAT LOOKS LIKE A LONG GUN. IT WAS A DOO DOO DOO DOO DOO DOO DOO DOO DOO DOO DOO DOO DOO LIKE, BECAUSE IT ECHOES SO MUCH IN BETWEEN OUR BUILDING. MINUTES LATER, SHOTS FIRED INTO THIS WHITE NISSAN AT THE GAS STATION. WE HEARD, LIKE A BIG LOUD NOISE. A LOT OF IT, LIKE, THOUGHT SOMEONE WAS BANGING ON OUR ON OUR BUILDING. BUT WHEN WE CAME OUT, OUR CUSTOMERS TOLD US IT WAS GUNSHOTS ACROSS THE STREET. HOW MANY DO YOU THINK? UM, 10 TO 15. FOUR PEOPLE SHOT IN TOTAL. THE VICTIMS, AGES 33 AND 28, HOSPITALIZED WITH LIFE THREATENING INJURIES. TWO KIDS ALSO HURT. AGES FOUR AND NINE. THEY’RE EXPECTED TO SURVIVE. I LIVE WITH MY ELDERLY MOM AND MY SON AND MY GIRLFRIEND, AND IT’S IT’S NOT WHAT YOU SEE IN THIS NEIGHBORHOOD. NORMALLY AT 227, THAT SAME CAMERA CATCHES WHAT LOOKS LIKE THE SAME THREE PEOPLE RUNNING FROM THE GAS STATION. POLICE HAVE NOT SAID IF THE THREE ARE SUSPECTS OR CONNECTED TO THE SHOOTING. PEOPLE IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD HEARTBROKEN AND UNEASY. WEDNESDAY NIGHT, MY SON’S NINE. SO THAT MAKES ME THINK ABOUT HIM. AND HE COULD HAVE BEEN THERE. HE CAME OUT AND HE ACTUALLY TOOK MY HAND AND HE SAYS, MOM, CAN WE SAY A PRAYER FOR THE LITTLE ONES? I SAID, SURE, AND WE STOOD BY THE LINE, RIGHT THERE, AND HE PRAYED. AND HE SAYS, PLEASE LET THOSE LITTLE KIDS BE OKAY. JUST SO DEVASTATING. EMILY, WHILE THE SEARCH CONTINUES FOR THE SHOOTER’S, DID POLICE SHARE A MOTIVE WITH YOU? A SPECIFIC MOTIVE, NO, BUT THEY DID SAY THAT THE SHOOTING HERE APPEARS TO BE TARGETED. THEY’RE ASKING ANYONE WITH ANY INFORMATION FOR DETECTIVES TO GIVE POLICE A CALL.

Four people were injured Wednesday afternoon in a shooting at a Milwaukee gas station. The shooting happened at the BP gas station at about 2:30 p.m. at 60th Street and Oklahoma Avenue. Milwaukee police said the shooters fired several shots at an occupied vehicle, striking the victims. Bullet holes were seen in the back window of a white Nissan. The Milwaukee Fire Department told WISN 12 News it took two people to Froedtert Hospital and two people to Children's Wisconsin. The victims were 33, 28, 9 and 4 years old, police said. The children are expected to survive. The adults have life-threatening injuries.Milwaukee police blocked off streets surrounding the intersection at 60th and Oklahoma for hours Wednesday afternoon. Nearby the intersection is a Walgreens, another gas station, multiple apartment buildings and a school. Neighbors were shaken up and scared for their well-being."It's scary because there's tons of kids in the neighborhood, kids two apartments down. There's kids all over this area out on scooters and bikes. It's so scary," said Tracy Fronczak, who lives near the shooting scene.A surveillance camera at a nearby apartment building captured three people walking towards the gas station. One of them appeared to be carrying a long gun. Minutes later, the same camera picked up what appeared to be the same three people running from the gas station back in the direction they came. Milwaukee police have not confirmed the three people are the shooters or involved in the shooting in any way.Witnesses at the scene told WISN 12 News reporter Emily Pofahl they did not see anyone get arrested.Police said the shooting was not random. It was targeted. They are looking for more than one shooter.
